Bruce Robinson (natural May 1 1946) is a British writer, actor and director, better known for his film Withnail and I.
He was innate around Broadstairs in Kent & studied at a Central School of Speech and Drama around London. At age Twenty-one he wwhen cast as Benvolio within Franco Zeffirelli's film adaption of Romeo and Juliet. When spending a seventies as a struggling actor around 1980 he dedicated himself to writing.
Accredited by David Puttnam Robinson had adapted The Killing Fields from book to screenplay: a story astir 2 journalists' lives fleeing a Khmer Rouge which earned him Oscar and Golden Globe nominations and the BAFTA award.
Robinson is virtually all widely recognised for the film Withnail and I (1987), which he wrote and directed. It was partially autobiographical, a character Withnail largely according to a friend, Vivian MacKerrell, world health organization died immature & the 'I personally' (or even Marwood) in Robinson. A script began life as a novel that circulated privately amongst friends & experienced an underground charted. Fallowing 'Withnail' his career has got mixed profits. He has besides written the novel, A Peculiar Memories of Thomas Penman & the novella, Paranoia in the Laundromat.
